Charles William (“Bill”) Shipp, age 78, passed away Saturday February 8th, 2025 at his home in Queen Anne, MD. He was born in Baltimore, MD on July 24th, 1946, beloved son to the late Charles and Mary (Weitzel) Shipp. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Barbara Shipp, his beloved sons, Chip, Steve (Amanda), and Jeff Shipp; dearest step-children, Monica Wroten (Bill), Rene Somers (Chris), and T.W. Neighoff (Shari). Bill is also survived by his beloved grandchild, Ashlynn, 10 step-grandchildren: Breanna (Bubba), JR (Ashle), Lorynn (Bobby), Jake, Jocie, Tyler (Brooke), Ashley (Mike), Kate, Kristen, Tyler (Emily), and 18 cherished step great-grandchildren.

Bill attended Glen Burnie Senior High School, graduating in 1964. He was a part of a historical initiation class by entering the Arundel County Fire Department Recruit Class One on April 5th, 1968. Lieutenant Shipp proudly served the Fire Department for 28 years, until his retirement in 1995.
