Robert Henry "Robbie" Robinson, 91, born on April 28, 1933 passed in his sleep on January 26, 2025 in Pasadena, Maryland.
He is survived by his three siblings: Joseph William "Joe" Robinson, Marlene Anna Ferrioli, and Frederick Allen "Rob" Robinson.
Robbie started his fire service as a volunteer with the Green Haven Volunteer Fire Company. When he returned from his Army service, he was hired by Green Haven Volunteer Fire Company as one of their full-time drivers. He maintained his membership with Green Haven and served them on the Board of Directors and other administrative offices including President of the company. When Green Haven and Powhatan Beach Volunteer Fire Company merged in 1990 Robbie continued serving as Armigers first president. Robbie retired from the Anne Arundel County Fire Department in 1992 as a Firefighter III, Engineman.
Robbie other community service was with his church as President, Secretary, and Treasurer. He served on the Green Haven Home Improvement Association. He was well known as the Mayor of Green Haven.
Robbie is most known for his big heart and kindness to others such as fully funding women's and girls’ softball teams from 1978 to 2018 including treating them to McDonalds for every win. Robbie captured the hearts and respect of hundreds if not thousands of adults and children earning him the title of "the King of Softball".
He truly loved the community and people of Green Haven.
Friends may visit on Thursday from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm and on Friday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Stallings Funeral Home where services will be held on Friday at 1:00 pm.
