Krista Wallach transferred to West Annapolis Fire & Improvement Company (WAVFD) in October 2018 from the Eastport Volunteer Fire Company, where she was a for year.  Krista’s volunteer efforts go above and beyond as she is always willing to help in training, public education, parades, annual Santa runs and keeping the citizens of Anne Arundel County informed through Facebook.

As an admin member, Krista takes an active role in observing the riding members in training; both the fire and EMT in order to gain a better understanding of what is entailed in their responsibilities while on calls. Krista goes one step further and acquires more knowledge by taking advantage of training through MFRI, MSFA, NVFA.  Through her wealth of knowledge that she acquires, she then shares with the public when performing public education and other events.    

Krista is an amazing photographer and uses her photograph skills to document all aspects of drills.  These photos are then included as part of the training notes for the members.  Her photos are also use on the WAVFD Facebook page to let the citizens know what we are about and how the members are always preparing and staying up to protocols for service.

Krista is one of the delegates for the Anne Arundel County Volunteer Firefighters Association and the secretary for the Ladies Auxiliary of the Anne Arundel Volunteer Firefighters Association. 

Krista tries not to come to the station without a homemade dessert for the crew on duty that day.  

As for the Auxiliary we do not meet only by phone or Zoom and really don’t have a lot going on because our numbers are only 3.    Therefore, Krista would help with anything the Auxiliary ask her to do.  Krista is always willing to help in whatever we need help with.
