CIRCUMSTANCES OF DEATH: While fighting a fire on Shaw Street in Annapolis, Firefighter Johnson collapsed and later died at the hospital as a result of a heart failure. At the time of his death, Firefighter Johnson was also a firefighter for the Naval Academy.

Alexander C. Johnson

    Alexander Clifford Johnson, 42, a member of the Naval Academy Fire Department, died unexpectedly yesterday at Anne Arundel General Hospital.
    Mr. Johnson, who was a member of the Eastport Methodist Church, made his home at 1316 Forest Drive. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Olivia Johnson; two daughters, Dorothy Ann and Phyllis Mae; his mother, Mrs. Anna Estep; four brothers James, John, Thomas, and George Johnson, and four sisters, Mrs. Betty Estep; Mrs. Eleanor Meikeljohn, Mrs. Margaret Walker, and Mrs. Ethel Walker.

    His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10 A.M from the Taylor Funeral Chapel 147 Duke of Glaucester Street. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetary.
